the mmr blocks are made so you can just bolt the heads and intake right onto them right,i got a video off of ebay about the mod motors and its a step by step intructions on how to tak ethe motors apart and put them back, along with honing and such.I think its great and helps me understand my motor much more and confident i can do more work than bolt on. I still have much more reading to do but if i cange the bottom end and then change the cams and heads later i thinks its omething i can do.Does anyone know if i would need a retune, which im sure i do, if i replaced the bottom end with a mmr block. This is all the stuff im still looking into, and do most heads come with the valves on them or would i have to do that myself, thanks for any help

take the heads to a machine shop and have them install comp "high load" valve springs/retainers, then have them do a valve job and install new valve seals

finally got my block, mmr 900. Will any machine shop know how to do this or should i look around, what do you think a fair price would be to have that done.

OP if 600 rwhp is your goal then you should go with heads and cams otherwise you are going to need to run 17+ PSI. I would go with heads, blower cams, and LTs so you won't need to run crazy boost if it was me.

In order to spin your forged motor to 7K you will need to modify your stock heads, with stronger springs and retainers at a minimum. If will be almost cost effective to buy head and cam package unless you do the labor yourself on your heads.

ok thanks, i might save up for the trick flow tfs heads that everyone is talking about, i hate having to wait but i dont have a choice, so frustrating having the block ready to go but cant do anything. I think it will be a good learning experience along the way because i want to do everything myself but i know i have to take it one step at a time.

Not gonna happen on stock heads/cams. You can do it with an awesome set of blower cams and stock heads with upgraded valve springs though pushing like 18-19psi.

edit: on pump gas anyways
