well i'm looking for a intake manifold that will be compatable with a 70mm or 75mm throtle body for my 4.6 sohc mustang. i'm guessing i have to go to ford racing for because i've looked at jegs and summit and they only sell manifolds for the 5.0. but i'm also wondering if i should just port and polish my existing manifold.

dont get the one that ford racing sells as the performance upgrade or whatever its called, its on the current stangs and its plastic, one backfire and it is cooked, get a bullitt or cobra manifold

Your stock manifold will work with the bigger throttle body but you really won't need it unless you have a blower and the same goes for thebullitt intake. If you're NA then the best thing you could do is get a K&N filter. If you want some real HP gains, do a PI head swap.

I have to agree. Do the PI head swap. People have actually been shown to loose torque from putting just a TB on.
