Default Need Run-through on pulling a motor

Sup guys. I am trying to pull the motor out of my 2000 gt 4.6L 5 speed..

Anyone know of a long tutorial or tell me what i need to do in what order to get the engine out efficiently without me wasting alot of time?

I was told by someone that removing the transmission is the easiest first step to removing it.

Thanks!!

Drop the engine, trans and subframe all at once. Its the fastest way and can be done in a 2 car garage.

Its not too hard. Ac and ps pumps off, unbolt the midpipe, motor mounts, the harness at the firewall its 3 connections. Untake tube, throttle cable, trans xmember, shifter, clutch cable, and I think that's it. Pull engine and trans together, very easy

pull it tranny and all. thats how i always do it on my 2000 GT. of course i have long tube headers, which help guide it in and out very nicely, but still.... unbolting the tranny and messing with it is a waste of time in my opinion. you can do that when you have everything out. just jack the rear of the car up in the air and block it, and you'll have a nice angle for the pull-out.
