Default Need some help with PI intake

My intake cracked so I got a new one and have Finlay gotten around to installing it. the alternator posts on the new aluminum intake are different from my full composite intake. is this the wrong part or is this a common issue?

from what I have found out I will have to go with the older bracket to mount my alternater as the posts on the pi are on the cross over and mine has 1 on the cross over and the other is further back on the intake.

I got the OEM intake with the alluminum cross over, the same thing in my car but for the cross over and bolt locations. Going to ford with my intake and bracket to see if they have anything for it.

ok here is the skinney, you can get just the intake like i did and have to find the bracket or if your talking to the right person when buying it they will sell you the kit that comes with the bracket. the new bracket is $20 from ford so I have that on the way.

When your intake cracked could you see the crack or was it a small crack? Do you know if you can test the intakes to see if they are cracked once they are taken off the car?

you have an 02 so yours should have the aluminum cross over already. His cracked more than likely like mine did at the thermostat housing. so i dont know where yours would have cracked? are you losing coolant or something?

I got luckey on mine breaking, it broke off at the post where the heater hose connects in the driveway but after removal I can see a crack where the T-stat is and that is where I was loosing my coolent. just happy it didn't happen on the road. Will have her back on her feet by this weekend.
