Default Mach 1 exhaust

hey guys, i was wondering what kind of exhausts are made for the mach 1. everywhere i look i find ads that say"99-04 GT" or "99-04 Cobra", which one am i supposed to buy for a mach 1. I know this is kind of a dumb question, but i did a search and couldn't find anything. I run into this situation wtih parts other than exhaust and was wondering, what parts are made for this car, so if you guys could once again help me out it'd be great. Another question, Once i do find exhaust for the Mach, what would be a good combo all the way back, (headers, X/H pipe, and catback) It's a daily driver, and around-town car, so volume could be an issue. I would like something with a good tone, but not ridiculously loud. Thanks in advance guys (and gals).

Easy/quick way to find out. Cobras have different exhaust because of independent rear susp., which makes the exhaust go under the rear axle. Where as GT's go above. Now not sure if a Mach has IRS or not, but if the exhaust goes up above the axle, then get a GT catback, if it goes under, get a Cobra catback.

Any midpipe or catback made for 99-04 GTs fits the Mach 1.

Yep... Cobra's only work on cobra's because of the IRS. But mach's and GT's are the same.

Thanks for the info guys. So are there any specific brands or combinations of brands you guys would recommend? Like I said, i'm not wanting it to be too loud since it is a daily driver. Just something with a good solid tone, something that sounds good. I hear the Steeda GT catback has a good sound and pretty decent performance gains. I'm not sure on the headers or X/H pipe though. Thanks again in advance.

yeh, i have a guy that lives down the street from me with an 01 GT, he's got SLP loudmouths and they are LOUD. I'm not sure if he has any other exhaust work down, but i know that's the catback he has. I'd ask him about the steeda exhast and if e knows anything about it, but he's total di**. So if anyone has any info or experience with the steeda, lemme kno, thanks.
