Default Can I swap cobra spring coils on my 2000 gt mustang

I had a friend heat up my springs and now my 2000 gt mustang rides like crap and I can't find any stock springs local for my mustang. I ran into a guy who said he would sale me some cobra springs now the only question is will they fit and will my ride become better because right now my car feels like a low rider seriously. Fellow mustang owners please give me some much needed advice I know I shouldn't have done this in the first place but you gotta learn from your mistakes.

they will go right in, but beware the front end might sit a little higher. Cobras have a lil more weight on the front end.

not the best idea to heat springs. I've seen springs break because people heated them or cut them and yea the ride sux.

You should have cut the springs rather then heated them. After all, all a spring is, is a cut coil... Idk why people are so against cutting. Just make sure there isn't excessive heat caused by cutting the steel, and make sure the springs are linear and you have no problems... The problems that occur from people cutting springs are usually caused by stu-nods who have no idea what they are doing.

But ONLY the front springs will fit your car, unless you get springs from a 94-98 cobra... The 99/01 and 03/04 cobra's have IRS set ups out back, so the rear springs WILL NOT fit your SRA suspension that comes stock in all 99-04 GT's... The front springs are the same design and WILL FIT your car, but they have a 600# spring rating and will make your cornering much better Think about getting some better shocks and struts as well..

So pretty much 94-98 cobra springs will fit your car
99/01 and 03/04 cobra FRONT springs WILL fit, but the REARS WILL NOT fit

You can also look into bullitt springs or mach1 springs for a direct swap
