Bought new tires...Question first.
So just got off the phone with the guy at the location I bought them from to see if they were in...and they are.
Asked about the other alignment and again mentioned the factory thrust alignment to align the front wheels with the rears and to make sure it will always track straight becasue of the SRA and it being a mustang.
Also if I ask for specs other than what the factory sets, it will void any warranty set by this company and the tire manf. So looks like I will max out the factory specs with -1.25 Caster and +3.95 camber.

Last update. Apparently a guy in the shop where I work was big into cirle trac racing a while back in the 80's. He explained the alignment this way:
The thrust alignment is to make sure that the SRA is perpendicular to the frame and that the rear wheels are in fact parallel to the fronts and perpendicular to the rear axle. This makes more sense and seems needed.
Again, if I don't have this done it will void any warranty coming with the tires, so looks like the only money I'm getting back is $8 for the disposal fee ahah. WHOOHOO

so that the thrust angle is maintained.
They aren't really "doing" anything extra as the alignment frame does all the TA measurements automatically as long as the rear wheel targets are mounted. Mounting the rear targets is hardly worth $50...
If the TA could not be maintained within spec then it would mean that something(s) is(are) badly worn, or bent, somewhere in the suspension.
I guess that's why the ad says "free front wheel alignment".
I hate that. I don't mind paying people to do something I don't care to do, or do not have the tools to do, but why do they feel they have to trick me with deceptive (OK, maybe only incomplete) sales pitches?
The Goodyear store I deal with here does that, but they do good work and let me in the service bay to watch (and make sure it's done right/the way I want). I admit however that sometimes I feel like I should bring a tube of K-Y with me, but what can you do?
