Bumper Removal Tips .... please ....
The front and now the rear bumper on my 98 GT are to the point where I want to buy new ones. I've searched and eBay seems to be the route. I will buy them primed and hopefully find free shipping.
Although I've searched, I have a few questions.. what size are the plastic rivets and how many do I need for the front, and for the rear bumpers? Also, are there any internal parts within the bumper that are not re-useable (pins, clips, etc.)?
I have the tools I need for instal removal but I need to get the body shop to paint the bumper first. From everyone's experience, should I just give the shop the bumper and have them do all the work or should I have them just paint the bumpers then I'd go home and install them?
Thanks in advance.

You can just take the bumpers to tem have them paint them and just throw em on you're self they are very easy to remove and install. Everything is reusable. The only hardware for the front is the 4 nuts (2 on each side that attach to the fenders) and the plastic push pins on the front which u can just re-use if u dont mangle them. Ford the back there is 10 nuts 2 on each side by the rear quarts and then 6 throughout the back on the trunk and the plastic push pins outside underneath. All the rear nuts are accessed through the trunk. EDIT: Also there are 2 little screws in the rear wheel wells that light the bumper up with the body skin and there is also a little breather hose that attaches to the inside of the bumper than u have to remove.
