Default Rear End issues--Popping and shifting

OK. So i just got back into town and my car is falling apart.

First, When i attemt to put the car into first gear i get a "clunck" sound and feel like the driveshaft is loose. I think i have determined that it is the U joints that need replacing.

Second, When i come to a stop and then roll forward, i get a loud pop and a slight shift in the rear end. It seems to shift to the left side as if the back rear side is loose when i move forward. THIS IS THE PROBLEM OF CONCERN!

I cant seem to get a good answer as to what the problem is. Is it suspension, axles, bearings, some say tranny issues ( i dont think so). Im leaning towards suspension due to the 1.5 inch drop that has been done but my GF owned the car before and never did any bearings or anything of the nature.

The rear end was replaced when she wrecked it a few years back so im hoping its not that.

Im just looking for some thoughts and maybe someone who has had the problem and could tell me what i need to fix and replace it all. Do the rebuild kits come with all that good stuff for the rear end??

Sounds like the clutch is dragging (and perhaps other issues), how much free play does the pedal exhibit?

The clutch actually is responsive. We do have a Centerforce DF clutch installed and 3.73 gears but a stock but a new cable was not installed. I just need to get the Steeda cable assembly from American Muscle that should fix the gear problem and also the u joints are shot as well so those will be done too.

See the car feels like it rides on bricks because of the drop and sub frame connectors. So it blew the rear shocks out so it rides on the frame bumpers.
I think because of that, it has backed out some bolts and some bushings may be shot as well as the CV joint. My GF had the car for a while and raced it a little but never did any of this type of work to it. It has 156K on it but engine has only like 35k.

Also, when in gear BUT CLUTCH IS IN, the car will grab and roll forward..read that again if u need too LOL

the shifting sound you are hearing sounds like worn out rear control arm bushings
