you have 9" wheels... 245/45 is a perfect fit for 9" wheels. they dont stretch until you go wider.

my factory bullit rims have 245/45 on fronts with 275/40s on the rear. i never had any issues with them but i only had them on for about 250 miles before i switched to a 15 inch wheel

y'all confused the hell outta me lol BUT I think I understand, youre all saying a 17x9 wheel will fit with 245 tires. Another question then. Is 245 a 9" tire then because I know I have 8.5"(stock) wheel.

^ Technically, in theory anyway a 245 tire should be 10" wide contact patch (24.5 mm = 1 inch), but as I just checked on my own car a minute ago and came up with 9". I know in many cases that a, for instance 245 section width tire can vary in terms of it's actual contact patch, seemingly due to sidewall section (check a 245 truck/suv tire with it's larger sidewall vs. what's on your car; the one on your car will appear to have a much wider contact patch). Maybe Jazzer or somebody who actually knows something about tires can elaborate on this mystery.....
