Default frpp Al Driveshaft and u-joints

hello all

I have come to believe that my Al drive shaft needs new u-joints. There is a lot of bucking in gear at low rpm and above 3k rpm roughly the shifter starts to rattle. The strange part is this started not long after i bought the drive shaft and i thought it was something else. I know its not my rear end because I recently replaced the pinion seal and the roller bearings for my 4.10s and I know its not the motor because it did it with my old motor and with this one as well. I'm pretty sure its not the motor mounts because if it was I would think I would feel it always. Does this sound like bad u joints to you? The drive shaft is roughly only 3yrs old. Is this unheard of the u-joints going so quickly? also are there better u-joints I can buy and if not which u-joints does the Al drive shaft use the reg ones used on the steel shaft?

thanks

U joints can burn up rather quickly if you have a bad motor/trans mount. I would get under and check them out its fairly easy to detect a bad U-joint just simply twist the driveshaft by hand or try and push it side to side and up and down and looks for any excessive play at the joints just as if u were testing for a bad balljoint.
