^^^ your limit with 1 focus fuel pump and a BAP is around 470 rwhp which is currently my numbers. Note a lightning MAF won't support much more than 425-450 rwhp.

i'm wanting to go a little more conservative I think, similar to the on3 test mule car, he only has a Focus pump, #36 injectors, and one more thing. That car seems to hold up pretty well for him, even after 2 years. zero2005, weren't you running nearly the same setup? What happened to make you build a new engine?

i had 42lb green top ford racing inj, pmas maf, focus pump plus a diablo chip w/ dynotune.

i was running a Joe P. Inline ball/spring Manual Boost Controller to adjust boost because the wastegate springs that on3 gave me were not labeled properly and to keep swappin them out is such a pain. everything else was pretty much stock.

what im guessing happened is that my MBC had probably spiked, caused car to go lean due to limit of pump. i had noticed it spiking a couple times before up to 9-10psi, even though i had it set at 7-8 psi. im guessing that on a downshift to pass the boost had spiked, caused car to go lean and boom, grenade. thats the only plausible and explainable thing that could have happened, especially since the 2 cylinders that blew were the farthest points in the fuel system from the pump (the very front of the motor, cyl 1 + 5)

definately go bigger than 36lb injectors. you'll be really at the limit of those, and 42lb'ers can be had for the same price. and like stated, without a BAP, you'll be at the pump limit at ~400, so if you ever do go with anything more, your limit then would be the fuel system. a crap fuel system will kill a motor faster than anything else.

oh, and if you wait until late this year for their "gen 2" kits, you'll be better off probably. it has a forward facing header system instead of a "wrap around", and decreases spool time by about 300-400 rpm's. and at least get the masterpower upgrade, if not get a smaller turbonetics for even faster spool.

his test car was only run with small amounts of boost daily, he tested/dyno'd it up between 8-13 psi to get numbers, but when i talked to him over the phone he said daily it was driven only at 6psi, i daily'd my car.

for my fuel system once i get my motor in and running, i'll be swapping to a megasquirt "parallel" ECU setup to control spark timing and fuel injection, and i'll be sumping my stock GT gas tank, with dual walbro 255lph inline pumps, and a boost referenced fuel press regulator, for a return style setup. i'll probably be running 75lb injectors.

of corse, all this will be after i get motor back in and broken in. i'll probably be running it N/A or maybe low boost (5-6psi) for a break in period, and a rest to my wallet.

Curious about the BAP. I know KB says the stock pump is fine with the BAP even up to 14 psi (around 500 whp). Anyone have problems with that setup. Their lit mentions all the dyno time and flow testing they do and they swear by their setup. Wouldn't make much sense to short sell the fuel setup and blow a bunch of engines.

afaik 500 rwhp would be difficult even with a BAP and svt pump. Maybe with a supercar pump you could get it. But you'll need a block well before that. and much beyond that, dual pumps... really it comes down to tune and other variables that are just too impossible to determine perfect hard numbers.

edit: spelling, damn auto correction on my phone lol. BAP does not = baptist ahaha.

what pump assembly? the whole thing from a SVT focus? you should probably create your own thread asking a specific question.

A stock 99-04 GT pump + BAP is good for about 420RWHP max on a manual. My tuner was almost certain Id peg it out with my setup but I didnt barely.
