well it already has 2 cams... so how do you add one? 2+1=3... thats gotta look funky with all the timing chains and gears...

btw, thats a sick lookin SVO exhaust you got there. wish they had somethin like that for the new edge that wasnt as blocky as the roush...

also mrtystang did you dyno before your cams?

i dynoed 261/310 with intake, tb plenum, shorty headers, udp, xpipe ,catback and sc,tune kinda afraid of the torque... ima put down on the 100 shot with cams..
I supposedly only gained 15 hp n/a with the cams, but here's the thing: When we got it on the dyno, and did the runs, my tuner said that those were normal numbers. I was like WHAT lol??? He told me that it didn't matter what cams were used, that if it was just cams only (no head or intake mods) he sees 15-20 almost ever time. In fact the best he's ever seen was with a pair of CMS stage 2's, and the car gained like 20 hp. So even though the gains "seem" small on this particular dyno, they were right on par with the others basically.

On the nitrous the car went ape s**t lol! I originally was at like 412 rwhp and 520 rwtq, but my tuner didn't like that, so he backed it down a little. All in all i gained over 30 hp with the cams on the juice.

My point is don't go by the dyno. There's simply to many variances and possibilities to make it a fair measuring stick as to how effective a new mod may be.

I can tell you that these cams perform great regardless of the dyno. I just need to get to the track now, and find out exactly how great lol.

Wow seems like alot of money (cams, springs, valves, install) for 20hp gain... your car and mine are pretty similar in mods (diff brands) except i got shorties and 3.73 gears. Thats true about a dyno thats why ived always dynoed at the same place altho track times can also be missleading, a car that ran 13 in chicago cant pass 14s somewhere else i might get those CMS stage 2 do you think i will still have ptv issues with them even tho i get aftermarket valves?

You'll be fine if you do the valves.
