Default Windshield washer won't stop

Can someone tell me which fuse to pull to kill the washer motor I didn't get a owners man with the car, don't want it to overheat & burn my car up before I get home from work thanks

You can download an Owner's Manual from Ford--click here.

It's fuse #26, 30A, in the Central Junction Box (under the dash)--it also powers the wipers so you might want to pull the washer pump relay.

It is in the Relay Box, also under the dash, and which looks like this:

Thanks cliffyk just what I needed, how can I tell if its the pump or in washer control arm?

Well, we know the pump is OK, as it is running and there is nothing in the pump that controls its running. What is left is the steering column switch and the relay; of those there is a good possibility that the relay contacts are fused and not dropping out.

A good whack to the relay could correct that, or it may be possible to remove the relay's cover and separate the contacts. If that is possible steal an emery board from a woman in your life (they'll know what one is) and after breaking the contacts apart use the emery board to burnish the contacts. Give them a squirt of contact cleaner and you'll be back in business.

I do not believe the switch contacts in the column switch could stick closed without there being some significant damage to the switch--so I'm betting on the relay contacts being stuck/fused...
