96 4.6 conv. top will not go up and car wont start. ???

96 4.6 conv. top will not go up and car wont start. ???

Just got this 96 4.6- put new carpet in and new front seats, To make things easy I put the top down... Now I am all done.. went to start the car - NO GO... replaced the Battery, Still NO GO.. tried to put the top up NO GO.. the the freak is going on... Checked all the fuses all look good... Please any help would be great...

Is there power at least? did you put the emergency brake on (maybe you forgot?). as far as the starting of the car; check the fuel shut off button in the trunk. maybe.

There is two grounds that go on the motor make sure they're tight . Is this an automatic? If it is make sure you have the NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH set up properly otherwise the car will not start. If set up right it should only start in PARK and NEUTRAL.
