Still cant get stock H pipe off.

Don't forget to take that "crappy" craftsman ratchet back to sears for a one for one swap. No receipt necessary.
Glad to hear you got it off. So why'd you pick the X pipe, just out of curiosity. Catted or O/R?
I think I've decided on a catted H pipe...for exhaust tone.

so now I just get stuff from harbor freight...I have to admit, ive only broken one tool i got from there, it was a 1" socket...I only had 5 feet of pipe on the breaker bar..lol Id alrwdy busted a craftsman when I went to the HF socket...and it finally broke too.

replace your driver side studs before the new mid pipe is fully on most likely it wont seal up 100%, I was driving around for about a month with a leak then i saw i needed new studs because the stock onces have a huge gap on them and wouldnt make a good seal

It's on...with 3 studs for the moment...
Its f'n loud as all hell, it's kinda painfull if you are directly behind it on a rev to 4,000....
Its got a deep throaty idle though, just ungodly loud...
Im so happy.
My problem is the X pipe is hitting the shifter...cant get it past D...time for some modifications.

so I took a few hundred dollars to harbor freight, which is about 15 minutes from me, and I got ratchets, sockets, impact wrench, 1/4", 3/8" air ratchets, 3/8" butterfly impact, a few sets of drivers, pry bars, drill, saw, grinders, etc...literally filled up the back seat of my quad cab ram with tools...and Ive only broken a couple things in 6 years....and I beat the heck out of them.
The few things I have broken, I ride up the road and they swap em out for new ones....yeah, HF has the exact same warranty as sears, for 1/4 the cost.
I dont care what my tools say on them...but I rely on them to be there for me and HF tools have done that and more.

Give ya an example, about a month ago I was putting new tensioner and idler pulleys on the 01 and the ratchet I had holding the tensioner back as I was rolling the belt on the pulleys...slipped.
It was fully engaged in the right position, but it slipped. I could have gotten hurt...I blamed it on a fluke. Im pretty sure thats the same ratchet that crapped out on me today.
The ratchet Im using now is a really cool design, it has a telescoping handle, and has a 1/4" drive and 3/8" dive head, and a full rubber grip.
I was bowed up on it today and yesterday and it held up great. payed 9.99 in the store.
