Exclamation Wheels off of an '06 and on '96

Quick question about rims. There's a set of 18 inch American Racing Special Edition Rims for sale in my town and judging by the pic it looks like a 5 lug, but they came off of a '06 GT. I have a '96 and need a new set of wheels due to a leak in one of my tires and I also use the 5 lug pattern.

Would I be able to use these on my '96?

Thanks for any insight!

the 05-09 wheels have a little more offset and will set more tucked in. the bolt pattern is the same though. they will fit but depending on they're width, you might need spacers

on a 18x9 wheel, 96-04 is a 24mm offset while 05-09 is 38mm. about a 1/2" difference

They will work. I have a 96 mustang too. And i have 05 stock 17" rims on mine. But i did have to put spacers on. The rears looked really funny and kinda bad because they are in the fender well by 1/2". and same with the front. And the front will rub on the frame when u make a sharp turn, like into a paking space or etc. I bought 1/2" spacers for front and rear. The back looks awsome. Even with only a stock 8.5" wide rim it fills the wheel well and makes it look a kinda big. the front is kinda to much. its not bad but stick out barely. I would probably go with a little smaller if i could redo it. mabe a 3/8" spacer for the front. And I think i bought mine on ebay through an actual vendor. not anything used.

Make sure if you put spacers on that have studs on them, the 1/2" will, that you have someone push on the brake while you tighten the spacer to the front axle hub. then the same when you put the tire to the spacer. I though it was tight enough when i first did mine and within 10 miles started getting popping and shaking up front. The spacer to the hub was loose. Good luck.
