KB 11PSI to much boost for GT?

interesting story. might as well throw mine on top. running 9 psi turbo, manual boost controller. decided to play with a boosted honda (think it was an integra actually, cant remember). running SVT focus fuel pump in stock fuel basket no holes, 1/2 tank. noticed past couple days boost was creeping slightly (to about 11 psi). wife had the radio up so i couldnt hear the motor. started in 3rd gear, shifted to 4th and had it up in the high 5000, maybe touched 6000 rpms before i let off (smoked the hell out of the integra) then i noticed the motor was running WAAAY rough. pulled over, popped hood, and there was smoke coming out the oil breather filter on the driver side. coolant tank was empty, and oil was milky.
original diagnosis was blown headgasket... till i pulled the motor and found that the #1 piston and #5 piston (both front pistons) had sent their rods through the wall. so i'm tossing my loss up to both a fuel starvation problem, as well as over RPM, and using a manual boost controller.
cars still down for the count. just waiting to bleed the brakes, get my chip retuned for a base tune with all the new crap i got, and drain the tank of the old ****ty fuel thats been in there for almost a year and put new stuff in.

I wouldnt call 6k anywhere near over rpm for these motors and I had a problem with my mass air sensor and was running like off the charts lean 15-16-17-1 a/f ratio...
Im actually seriously wondering why my motor didnt blow? lol
im runnin a 255 lph pump and a kb boost a pump on top if it

KB boost a pump maybe? could be that my pump just couldnt handle it, i was only running the SVT pump. keep in mind, that a turbo is a little bit different. i made 485rwtq (dynojet) at 9psi.
what makes me think fuel starvation more so than anything else, is that it was the 2 pistons that were farthest from the fuel source that let go.
my next step after i get the car running is megasquirt on top of some sort of fuel upgrade. not sure if i wanna go the easy bolt on route with a fuel hat that has dual pumps for returnless, or a sumped tank with dual pumps and a return style system with FPR. either way its looking pretty expensive...

There is absolutely no reason to go past 6k on a 2v 4.6L w/ stock cams/springs. That is an extremely inefficient range of RPM compared to 4k-6k. Its like gnawing on a chicken bone till youre actually eating the bone. Just get another wing bro the meat is gone on this one.
