Maybe if you got 2 "bad ones" in a row, it's possible its NOT the IAC?

sounds like a IAC issue to me, but 2 bad parts in a row seems like its not that likley. However, they are refurbished from places like advanced and autozone (why they are so cheap), but if you buy it from ford it is brand new (and more expensive)

i fixed a small vacume leak then put the old iac on after i returned the other two. drove the car all day yesterday everything seems like its back to normal. yeah and i got them from auto zone i am pretty sure they where refurbished i can say i am no longer going to auto zone this is not the first time i have had a defective part from them but it is the first that i have had two in a row.
ill keep driving till the end of the weak and if the problem re-accurs i will go to oreily and get the name brand part or ford house (duralst is crap)

If you got a Wells IAC from autozone (same one I have) Its not refurbushed and wells is equivelant or even better than the factory unit.
