Help with noise after ignition
Hey guys, quick question. Right after I start up my 03 GT, (directly after ignition) there is a clanking noise that lasts for about 2 or 3 seconds. This only occurs about 25% of the time I start it and it's usually after it's sat for awhile and cooled down, like in the morning before I go to work, and it might happen more often the hotter the outside temp is possibly.
It's like a "VROOM (engine turning over of course)" and then if I were to type out what it sounds like it's kind of "tokatokatok"... I know that sound ridiculous but that's the only way I can describe the sound. It sounds like it's coming from the engine area obviously, and it seems to be tied directly into the ignition itself, in that it occurs seamlessly with it.
Othewise the car runs fine... I'm just trying to figure out how much I might have to spend to get this fixed, or what it might be. Is it an engine mount maybe?
