1. it is aluminum block - so what? so is a Teksid block and theyre one of the most stout blocks out there, made by the same company that does Ferrari's work...

2. single camshaft $250 vs $1000 for cams...

3. 2-valves - that flow more than a 32V motor...

4. big compression ratio 12:1 - is not suitable for turbocharger boost - um no, theyre like barely 10:1 and they can handle 10lbs stock...

5. it is bigger = less place for installing turbchargers - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA do you have any idea how big a 32V 4.6 is let alone a 5.4?!?!!??

6. terrible sound like a tractor, looks like because of single camshaft - really interesting because im pretty sure they have the same firing order just with different numbers...

Seems like alot of your fears/worry's are unfounded...

Aluminum LSX engines dont have much problem with 1000hp...more than a few lurking around without any problems at all..Cast iron is NOT required.

2000hp Dragsters are 1 cam, pushrod engines....

Dragsters, once again...2 valves per cylinder

Compression is based on how you build it...you can make a 4 cam Ford engine have 13:1 compression or 7:1 compression based on Piston shape, compression height, and cam shaft profiles.

An LSX engine is physically not as wide as an Overhead Cam engine, and especially not a DOHC engine...

A 1000hp engine is going to require an agressive cam profile regardless if its 1 cam, 2 cams, 4 cams...its not going to be smooth like a lexus, its going to be choppy...its the nature of the beast, along with the fact a 1000hp engine will have Long tube headers, and free flowing exhaust...its going to be loud and raunchy....

Here is a Video of a C6 corvette, one of the tightest engine bays out there, and they wedged in 2 turbochargers, intercooler, etc...its capable of laying down 1000 hp but they had to detune it for street driving to 780hp...they had to put 200lbs of weights, and 2 crankshafts in the back to keep the 13" wide tires from spinning @ 100mph on the dyno...this is detuned mind you.
