Default Supercharger in Texas Heat

I live in the Houston area and recently bought a Vortech V-3 Non-intercooled Supercharger for my 2004 Mustang GT. The motor is being rebuilt with Manley rods and Forged pistons. I was wondering if anyone knows if the car will be running safe without the Intercooler in the Texas Heat. Does anyone here ran their car with a Vortech Non-Intercooler in Houston? Also, what will the RWHP be? Any replies will be much appreciated. Thanks.

cant guess your rwhp bc of many factors 5sp or auto, your current mods, outside temp etc.. but quite a few ppl run blown cars in texas heat without an intercooler the more boost you make the more heat it will create. Im running a v-1 s trim through an auto only breathing type mods i have is a catted x pipe and 10series catback. My car put down a baseline of 233rwhp and 266rwtq pre blower then after the install 338rwhp and 358rwtq @4-5 psi it was 70++ degrees that night and that was with a crappy belt tensioner im guessing thats what caused the low psi reading bc after a new belt and belt tensioner it reads 6-7+ psi now when I floor it for a bit. good luck with your build. And once again I drive in this texas heat also I thing it would really affect you if you did back to back runs at the track with no intercooler and this texas heat. just my opinion. i plan on running blower cams and a intercooler eventually though to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the reply. The mods are Bassani X-pipes with Magnaflow exhaust. SCT Computer chip, 3.73 gears, accufab plenum with 70 throttle body. Though, not sure of what pulleys to use when getting ready to install the Vortech. Thanks again for replying.

For longterm goals with the car I would agree. I had an aftermarket small intercooler to go with my kit but we couldnt get it to work out so I sold it and went the non ic route. Havent had a major ower loss on hot days but it clearly runs stronger in cooler weather. If i was leaving my car as it is now then I wouldnt bother going intercooled but since I want to up the boost and go with cams I plan on going with an intercooler later down the road. just take a min to read this. https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...tercooler.html
