Question Shifting ****....

Trying to replace my shifter ****, there is a very small hole on the other side which an allen wrench goes into. What size is it? I tried the smallest ones to the one right above it. It feels like there is two holes either that or its stripped out which i hope not...Is there any other way of taking the shifter **** off?

Have you tried both English (inch-sized) and metric Allen keys?

Do you have a photo of it? AFAIK there are no set screws on any of the OEM shifters.

Like Cliffy said, the stock shifter **** does not have any screws holding it down, it just screw off.
