Default Caster Camber Plates PROBLEM!

Hey I bought the UPS 4-Bolt plates and had them installed today professionally. I took it on the road and every time I hit a bump, the car would knock where the plate and strut bolt up. The mechanic said it was because it metal on metal and the instructions said to take off the boot cover and other parts as well. Shouldnt there be something rubber there to stop the knock? PLEASE HELP!

Stefan.

no, there should not be any rubber in there, the stock ones have rubber so there is less noise. the after market ones don't so the alligment cam be more percise. make sure you get an aligment ASAP, or you will need new tires in like 500 miles.

Hmm I don't have those on my car but I would call the manufacturer or someone who knows. That doesn't sound right to me and I know I would hate that. My car needs to be perfect or it makes me crazy.

Also just remember if you make a mod and find out later you don't like it you can always change it or fix it to be the way you want it. I know it sucks. I have changed stuff I didn't like. I took off a complete Mac cat-back with pro-chamber brand new a tossed it in the dumpster. That drone was the worst noise I have ever heard. I put the Steeda cat-back on and can now hear the radio. : )

My Hotchkis kit came with new boots and rubber bushings. Did you look in the box before you took your car to the shop to see if those parts were in there or do you have the insruction still so you can verify they did it right.
