Default HELP QUICK! Vortech purchase question!!

Was looking on craigslist for supercharger, anyways this guy has a "V-2 Vortech supercharger" says it has mounting hardware for 2007 mustang gt, could i just buy the unit and buy mounting gear for my 2000 mustang gt? how much should i try to get it for? he's asking 850.

yeah alot of people just buy the head unit then piece together the rest of the kit, its more of a headache but sometimes you can gather everything up cheaper than buying the whole kit.

make sure that its counter clockwise rotation with a straight discharge. if not it wont work

Ok i got the counter-clockwise thing, but what does straight discharge mean? and how should i check it? and are there any red-flags i should be looking for as far as damage etc?

$850 isn't to bad. You could sell all the parts you don't need to buy the ones you do. Check for shaft play, damaged impeller stuff like that.

any idea how much i'd be paying asides from the 850? (parts not labor)
