I use the clutch but keep the foot on the gas. I dont even see how its possible to shift without a clutch, while keeping your tranny in good condition.

I have an 04 GT 6000 miles, with only intake and chip.

But if you keep you're foot on the gas, and then use the clutch..don't you just end up revving it?

no cuz your only out of gear and on the clutch for a split second. it revs a little bit but not much, if done right it will only rev up maybe 300-500rpms. But if you miss the gear your hitting the rev limiter like a hot b*tch.

I shift at 5500-6000 rpms and only go about 300-500 rpm's higher when powershifting, you just gotta be quick...

But does anybody know why it makes a squeeking noise when i let off the clutch?

back on his question (im not sure why he named the thread powershifting, but either way)

i get a sound that is similar after the car has been running for a short time, or ive driven hard for a minute or two...

it occcurs between shifts (all) as i let out the clutch and the car gets itself into gear,, also, in 1st and 2nd gear when i am driving slowly, i can hear the same sound going to town from wherever it is at

and also, do you get this sound after it has started, when you shut the car off, thats when it is almost as loud as in low gears, right as i shut it off

annoying as hell

I have never once heard of powershifting meaning holding the gas and shifting without the clutch...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manual_...Power_Shifting

I only get this sound of a belt screaching when Im shifting from 2-3, and 3-4 while holding the gas. Ive never done it from 1-2 since I would break traction too easily.
