Default A/F Gauge

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to eletrical stuff. I was wondering how hard it is to hook up a A/F gauge from pillar pod. I was thinking about getting one then I realized what if its hard to hook up then i just bought something for nothing. I dont let ANYONE but me or my dad work on my car its my baby thats why all the mods ive done are basically simple bolt ons. But hey whatever works.

An Air/Ratio hooks up to an O2 sensor. You can hook it up to an existing sensor as long as the gauge is made for wide band sensors. If that does not make any sense then I suggest...

[edit: Not implying, the question was dumb, just like the pic]

right... FYI forums are a place to ask questions. Why would I care about what i find on google id rather ask someone who has actually done it before.. whether its easy or not. What's your complaint? I dont get it...

RB... I just had some gauges put into my GT and I was advised by two different High Performance shopds not to waste my money on an A/F gauge as they just aren't accurate nor reliable. They said that goes for the more expensive widebandones as well. I had already purchased a wideband AEM brand with the controller (nearly $400) and they had me send it back and replace it with a electronic fuel pressure gauge. So I just added fuel pressure, oil pressure, water temp and boost. I am trusting their judgement.

if you really want a accurate A/F gauge you need a wide band o2 sensor, the kit is $500, it includes the wiring a new wide band o2 sensor and a bung that needs to be welded to your mid pipe. The auto meter a/f gauges are just light show, they are not accurate.

What he just said. Use a wideband O2 datalogger/gauge or don't bother. They are very accurate if installed correctly, as mine is practically dead on with the A/F results from the dyno shop I've used.
