P.I??
I drive a 94 5.0, but I try to learn stuff about the 4.6 cars on the side - I've been reading alot of treads and I've noticed P.I. being mentioned alot - like P.I. heads, etc. Problem is I have no idea what that is. Could someone tell me? Sorry for the noob question but the modular cars arent my thing really.

RE: P.I??
When ford first introduced the modular cars, the 96-98 model gt's came with 215-225 horsepower. The power was low because of restricting heads/intake/cams. The newer mustant gts (99-04) had the heads intake and cams redesigned for more power. They changed the small teardrop shaped ports in the older cars(96-98) to better higher flowing rectangular ports in the 99-04 gts, thus labeling the 99-04 heads and intakes Perfomance Improvement (P.I.)
The reason you hear people talking about PI parts all the time is because it is a very popular swap for those of use who own 96-98 gts. The head and intake combination has yielded gains of up to 40+ RWHP untuned. It's a very easy way to bring out the power in our older gt's, and make them competition for the newer gt's.
