Default best bang for your buck intercooler

i just got my 2000 mustang gt running after installing a brand new mmr 4.75 with all forged internals. i baught the block so i could run more boost (around16 lbs) threw my vortech v-3. i know running around 16lbs of boost is going to require a intercooler for safe operation. i'm wondering what intercooler is going to be the best bang for my buck. of course price is a big issue but i don't want a piece of junk. i plan on running 3in aluminum piping

did you loose any boost when installing that intercooler or did you always have an intercooled system? and hows the quality of the kit still holding up well?

I never installed the supercharger with out an intercooler. But from my math for the pullies I had the exact boost I was shooting for even with the cooler. I also had a 4" inlet on the S/C and meth injection before and after the S/C.

Ran perfect no problems out of the cooler at 700rwhp for a year before I sold it all off.

nice, you convinced me to with the cx racing intercooler kit, i see that it comes with a blow off valve, is that going to be any different then the current bypass and will my tuner need to account for that?

nevermind on my last post, the cx racing tech line is garbage. i bought the intercooler off ebay for $100 cheaper and there not very helpfull at cx. but the bar and plate intercooler (31x14x3) ran me 114 and the universal pipe kit 90 and i had extra piping.

I did the same thing and totally agree with your last statement...
