Also I plan on spraying the motor and I was able to get pistons specifically for nitrous with the rings set lower.

That's nice. I was only planning on spending 3k and use my heads after getting them ported and polish. The short block was rated at 600 hp and I don't see myself getting to that much hp just yet. I might just have to get myself a beater to ride around in while I get my cars all in order. I wanted to get my ride set up for a super charger as well. that's why I was looking into the shortblock's rated for 600hp. I will keep in my your recommendation though. Thank you for the help. I was trying to get a remanufactured motor and there were going to charge me 5500 turn key with a 3 yr 100k warranty. I would much rather have a beefed up short block because I like speed. lol

You can get the shortblock for 3 easy but if you're gonna port and polish the heads you might as well get some cams. And then you're gonna need new valve springs. It's a headache but it's worth it. Save up another 2k and get the top end work done so when you put that blower on you're making real power.
