I just finished getting my parts and transmission together. Its currently sitting on the floor completely finished except no fluid. I did a dry run shifting through gears and it wont go into 1st at all. 2-R work and feel fine..

All I had to replace was 5th and reverse syncros

Can anyone shed some light on what I did wrong?

I did something stupid when I put my tranny back together, maybe it will help.
when i was putting the shifter back on, the plastic cup that the end of the shifter sits in, popped off and physically prevented me from being able to get first gear. Removed shifter, put bushing back in place, and had first again!
Hope its something as simple.

I solved it.. sadly after having to tear the entire thing back apart. I didn't have the 1st gear syncro lined up properly and it was locked up. I'm 100% sure this solved my problem.
