cam question?

Back when I did cams on my 04 gt I did a TON of research in that area. Bottom line....it's very much hit or miss with those cams if you keep the stock intake valves. You really are better off with other options IMO. I went with MHS stage 2's, had acceptable clearance, and was very happy

youre better off doing this. if the 270's are degreed in right, there will be valve contact. you can retard the cams and get by but you will leaving hp on the table. i would either get the comp 262's, the cams mentioned above or some like them

I'm not sayin anyone is wrong but I have done alot of reading from other guys who have done this mod, and i'm told that with the new beehive comp springs, and the cams degree'd right the shouldnt be a problem. but since ford used different piston's through the years it's a good question. But if you turn the crank you should be able to feel if there is any issues. thanks guys for your input I appreciate it!!

So what is degreed right lol? I mean sure you can retard the ICL a little to create more clearance, but you lose power then, so then why even go with that grind at all IMO. I'm just offering some insight based on my many personal hours of research and actual experience
