Default clutch change

hey guys im tryin to decide if i want to install this clutch i got myself. i have a little experince workin on cars. ive done the mid pipe and intake, tb all myself, so i guess its time to step it up a notch. i have all the tools i just need someone to tell me if its a good idea or not to do it myself. i will have a buddy helpin me but he is about as mechanically inclined as i am. so if anyone has experince with do clutches and wut kind of troubles i might run into then please tell me. help me out here guys i dont want to have pay someone else to install somethin on my car. thanks

The two bellhousing bolts at the top of the engine, can be some tough SOBs. The "hidden" starter bolt. There are three bolts, the last one has to be had by feel only. Its not really a difficult job, just time consuming. Make sure to get a new flywheel or have your current one resurfaced. Go ahead and change the throwout bearing and pilot bearing. Before tightening down the pressure plate, make sure the clutch alignment tool is inserted. That way it will save you sometime when the tranny won't slide back into place. [:@]

Make sure you have a Haynes manual on hand. It will give you the step-by-step process for the clutch. Ditto on the alignment tool. No tool = loads of fun for hours!

I changed mine not to long ago and had longtubes on their so I had to take one header off..But dont pay someone to do it break into that thing and do it yourself save you time and money and some pride knowing you can change your clutch in the future.

hey fellas thanks for the replys. its wut i needed to hear if im gonna do this. wear can i purchase haynes manuel? can i get one at an autozone or pep boys auto parts store

haynes is at any auto parts store. i dont reccomend a spec 3 clutch. the chatter is obnoxious.
