Default Vacuum hose question

What does the vacuums hose on the passenger side that goes into the fender. I think this hose is the reason my climate control only goes to vent but I don't want to rip the entire hose out without knowing what it goes to

The one that goes into the fender is for the EVAP canister. There is another smaller diameter hose that goes into the firewall that is for the HVAC controls. Look to see if it is dangling, sometimes hard to see.

The hose for your HVAC is a thin plastic tube. It starts at the vacuum distribution block next to the brake booster and goes across the firewall towards the passenger side and then into the firewall. The plastic tends to get brittle over time and often brakes. I repaired the one in my wifey’s mustang a few years back with a rubber sleeve with a slightly smaller inner diameter from my local auto parts store.

Look at the hose coming out of the brake booster on the drivers side of the engine bay. It will go to a junction block with other hoses coming out. That is where the small plastic hose should go.

How could it not have a brake booster? Its a large (usually black) circular thing on the drivers side of the engine bay, which the brake master cylinder is mounted to. If you don’t have a brake booster, then your stopping distance must be horrible on your car.

Then that is probably an aftermarket setup. I’m pretty sure your ride came stock with a vacuum assist break booster. Either way, hydroboost is just another type of brake booster. So you do have a brake booster on your car. Also, what type of brake booster you have doesn’t matter here. Its the location in the engine bay is the important part (on the drivers side of the engine bay on the firewall). The vacuum junction block will be nearby.
