Default Best Rims For Atlantic Blue Mustang Or Should I Paint It Black?

i just got a dirt cheap 2000 Mustang GT. It is completely stock except for welded in Flowmasters. I do like the Atlantic Blue but im having trouble finding pictures of them with rims online. I was thinking of 03 Chrome Cobra rims or maybe black Bullitt Rims. Another option i was thinking is Painting it Black since it already needs bodywork i would just do it all at once.(wont be too expensive since my dads friend would give me a good discount.)

Anybody have a Blue Atlantic Mustang with rims that could post pictures to give me an idea of what to choose?

Would a light tan interior look good matched with a black paint job?

Personally, I would never paint any car black (unless I had a Buick Grand National). It only looks clean and pretty right after you wash it, and it shows EVERY flaw in the body, metal, plastic and paint. It also requires a really good paint job to look good in the first place, e.g. not a $399 MAACO special and not even a $1,200 corner bodyshop special.

If it needs repaint, I'd stick with stock. This way you also don't have to necessarily worry about the door jambs, engine bay, inside the trunk, etc. Nobody likes a car with mismatched panels that make a color change super obvious.

As for wheels, on a dark-colored car, I'd go BRIGHT on the wheels. Not necessarily chrome or polished, but bright silver (bright is not equal to shiny).

I would definitely NOT paint the stock wheels black. That will look like *** and from more than 5 feet away, it'll just look like you have some really dirty wheels or some steelies, neither of which is a great look.

A tan interior would look fabulous with a $15,000 black paint job, great with a $5,000 black paint job, and OK with a $3,000 black paint job.

Nobody will notice the interior with a crappy black paint job.

Don't paint it a different color, it looks nice. I like your gt wheels, if they were cleaned up of course. A set of staggered anthracite Bullitts or chrome 03/04 Cobras would look really nice on that car. That is all my opinion of course, do whatever you want and makes you happy.

Thank you guys for replying. I decided to stick with the stock color and just get repaint it and get 03 Chrome Cobra rims.
