bought a 96 cobra...found wreck damage.
recently bought a cobra I didn't crawl underneath the car because it rode and drove smooth, engine was smooth. Once i got it home i crawled underneath it and found evidence that it was in a pretty hard rear end collision, the rear bumper inner parts are missing, only the bumper cover is there. And there is a crease in the passenger side uni-body frame rail. The car rides smooth, but the tire scrapes the inner fender on the passenger side when hitting big bumps, or when going through a turn with speed, and there are crinkles in the inner fender. Was wondering how bad this damage looks? The title isn't salvage.
The front radiator support is bent upwards too, as if it was hit in the rear and pushed over curb.
Any advice or opinions appreciated.

Take it to a body shop and have a pull done on it. if it is just the lower core support that is bent in the front you could always just section the lower on to the upper so you dont have to put the whole core support in. the front of my Cobra is the same way but it rusted after the hit real bad so I am gone to do just what I said on the front core.

I would pay for a carfax and see when the accident happened. If it happened during the time the last owner had it that person should have disclosed the accident.
If you bought it from a dealer go back to the dealership and have them give you the carfax, they have to disclose accidents. And I wouldn't start out being confrontational.

Wow that took a nice shot. How does the trunk open and shut, and the gaps to the quarters? I would pull up the trunk floor and spare to see additional damage. It definitely needs to get on a frame machine to get to squared away.
