drivetrain thud

Default drivetrain thud

sometimes i get a thud in the driveline when i let the clutch out from a stop...it occurs anywhere from the transmission to the rear..any ideas?

Often times this can be the transmission yoke.
If it is, pull the driveshaft and apply RED grease to the splines. This is a tacky grease that will deaden the "clunk".

I would take a serious look at u-joints.
