totally fully loaded in excellent condition with a clean title from a dealer would run around $12,000. just to elaborate on what sprostang said.

ORIGINAL: sprostang

Of course you know that car was totaled out and was hit pretty bad. The owner probably got the money from the Ins. company, bought the car back for cheap, then paid the difference out of his pocket to get it fixed along with the Ins. money. Afterall, he got rid of it because its still probably pretty messed up. Dont touch it. Its garbage. I worked in a bodyshop and know alot about this kind of stuff.
I am not arguing, but with all of the technology these days, i thought a salvage title wasnt as bad as it used to be. In my shop class at school we had a $40,000 Genesis system. We totally rebuilt the front end of my best friends "totaled" 96 Stang. With all the technology, we straightened the frame and the car drove perfect after that. If a buncha 16-18 year olds can fix a totaled stang why cant a reputable body shop fix it? He sold it for an 03 GT. Just drive the car, and let a body man take a good look/drive. Sometimes, if the car was fixed right, this can be a great way to get a great car for cheap!

Default RE: salvage title please help

a good friend of mine runs a salvage yard he gets cars all the time with no title he just slaps a salvage title on them and sells them. the cars my have been in absolute mint condition when he got them just didn't get a title with them. he has ended up with several late model cars that where abandoned in parking lots and other places like that. He even build a race car out of a 99 v6 mustang he ended up with. so a salvage title doesn't mean that the car was destroyed. I know where there is a 93 cobra with a salvage title the car has never been in a wreck it just got stolen and striped. This is why we really need more info.

In your case the dealer is admitting that the car was in a wreck i would take it to a body shop and have it checked out befor buying ask some of the body techs opinions on if it is safe and if whom ever fixed it did a good job.
