when i shift at 4000+ Rpms it grindes when i go into seccond. could that be a pilot bearing? i think its the 2nd gear syncro but i hope its not. when i drive normal every thing is fine.

Yea, sometimes my shifter sticks when shifting into second, or when it does shift it makes a quick gear grinding noise. Car has done it since I bought it. Usually worst when it's cold. I have heard something about the synchros being bad on the T3650, any truth to that?

Its the syncro. When the trans starts grinding when you shift hard you are on your way to a tranny replacement. Mine did the exact same thing (2 2 different T-45 acutally) drives fine unless you shift fast/hard and then it grinds.

I replaced all the syncros in my tranny for about 110 bucks..i picked up a rebuild kit off ebay and thats it..i didnt have a clue how trannys worked or how they were built..if you can take a transmission out, you can rebuild it your self..like i did..the transmission feels brand new

today i tried to race somebody and I missed a shift so bad. I hurd the gears grind extremely loud. Now I notice a shaking noise under the car while letting the cluch out between 1 to 2 while driving normal. Is this shaking noise something I just never noticed before? And because I grinded the gear, should I go get the tranny fluid changed soon?
tnaks
Is the noise when you are making the shift with the shifter, or after making the shift and you are letting the clutch out? Does it only happen on the 1-2 shift?
