i have 4.30's im my daily driver and they are perfectly fine... and why the hell is your friend manually shifting a automatic for.. that should be your first clue not to listen to him..

You should be fine with an auto. I think with a stock type motor, in a 5-speed you will be really close to redline in 4th gear at the end of the 1/4. I am at about 5900 rpms at the end of the 1/4 in 4th gear.
Yea, that's cuz that's the perfet gear for the 1/4. 3.73's will have you out of the meat of your power when going through the trap, because you will have to shift. The 4.10's will have you right where you need to be. If I could do it over again, I'd probably have went w/4.30's myself as they are only 200rpm's more over the 4.10's.

you actually want to turn off O.D cause it plays around with the ECU for you, it will actually give you better preformace just by turning off the O/D

that is a big help.......i was thinking about getting 3.73s because i didn't want to be revving super high on the highway.....but 4.10's are only 300 more rpm at 80mph.

lol ^^ ya i agreee..... i have had experience with both motive 3.90 and ford 4.10, and i must say the 4.10 are much better
