Motive Gears vs Ford Gears

RE: Motive Gears vs Ford Gears
They probably don't want to install motive gears because it takes more time and effort to install them. They are trying to make money here. Come on think about it. If they charge 200 for frpp gear install then someones going to want the same price for motive gear installs. This would cost them more money because it takes them more time to shim it correctly.

RE: Motive Gears vs Ford Gears
i have MOTIVE gears and i love them. no whine and no problem. they use motive gears on all type of race cars just fyi. i love mine and would get them again with another vehcile or whatever. either way you'll be happy you'll just pay more for frpp

Let's clear this up, the gears are equal quality. The FRPP's are easier to install and get the backlash set correctly, they require no shims or very small shims if any. But since it's DUMB, yes...DUMB to install gears without replacing your bearings, it doesn't really matter which gear you go with, they will both require shimming for the proper backlash.
I had motive 4.30's that got the living crap pounded out of them.
