Default T-3650 Tranny and TSB

I'm having issues with my 03 Mach1's tranny, If the engine/trans is cold, even with the clutch fully depressed, it will whine into 2nd from first, or 2nd from 3rd (downshift), once the tranny heats up, it's fine. Now, I know that Ford's syncro's for 1-2, and 2-3 are notoriously weak, what do I need to give the dealership so that I can have them fix that without paying out of pocket. My Mach has 28,000 miles on it, and is still under factory warranty. They are going to assess the tranny, but they started feeding me some BS about "wear parts" not covered by my warranty. If you have any home remedy suggestions, if its just maybe poor fluid, etc, or if it really is my syncro's, I'll take any advice needed for it. Thanks

take it to another dealership if they don't honor it. my 04 GT would shift rough when i first got it when it was cold. i just kept driving it and it went away. good luck with the warranty though with all those mods, man.

all the mods were put in by Ford :-p But none of my mods affect my tranny (directly anyway) and so it shouldn't affect it :-p
