i have a mac intake that was on the car when i bought it. i like the chrome pipe and i heard that k&n doesnt make a chrome pipe for their intakes. should i keep the make pipe and switch the filter? would that help or should i just leave it?

Just keep the MAC intake and throw a K&N filter on it and be done with it.

as soon as you crawl underneath your car to try and get the filter off.. and then put another on.. you will be changing your mind real quick. i just did the same thing you were talking about this past weekend. i switched over from a MAC to a K&N fipk. i got it on ebay for like 170, and the filter is huge!!! its like 9 in wide i believe

You really won't notice anything, CAI's don't really give you much power as is.
