Default Problem with 98 GT electric system

I was wondering, what does it mean usually if your battery meter keeps moving from the middle of the gage to the left where it looks like its almost drained ? I just had my battery replaced, and my charging system checked, but whenever I turn my defroster on or have my radio on, my headlights dim and my interior lights dim to the point where I cant see **** . I've taken it several places and they all say that nothing is wrong. I know that somethin isnt right, maybe you guys could tell me what it would be.

Your rear defroster will put a huge drag on your alternator. Especially when at idle. Next time it happens, turn off the defroster and see what happens. UDP`s can have an affect on this as well if you have them. If your stereo system is beefed up, that would be another cause combined with the defroster being on as well. Possible you may need a 200 amp alternator.

I would be with the Alternator have you checked all ur spark plugs and wires? But that wouldent have that much of an affect, I think you might need more juice not sure.[&:]
