Default when plastic coolant crossover leaks

does it ever leak into cylinder #1 spark plug area

It could, but more then likely not...you may have a head gasket problem.

Usually the coolant leaks and runs down in the V of the engine underneath the intake valley.

are you talking about the 4th cylinder..here look at this way..if your standing infront of your car looking at ur engine and its the cylinder farthest away on the left side? Because if its that one..thats a very common spot for a coolant leak on mustangs. Just take the hose off, clean the inside real good, and clean the nipple it goes on with some brake cleaner or something..then put alittle bit of grease on the nipple..just a little bit and put the hose back on and tighten it down good.

if ur standing in front its the closet on the right , im just tryin to figure out if its my manifold or dumb mechanic ive caught them spraying water around that coil before

Find a new mechanic if you seen them do BS like that. Anyway, it is possible that your t-stat housing or manifold may have a crack in it. Thats right next to that cyilinder.

ive been trying to i took it to a new one and they said that i most likely had a cracked intake, but ya mechanic really made me mad
