Yes it is possible, I looked into it. Your better off finding a used 4v motor or just buying a crate motor. but anyways..... You need the 4 valve heads, 4 cams, 4 sprockets, timing chains, chain tensioners, 4 valve timing cover, valve covers, intake manifold, or the supercharger with the intake manifold. Cobra wiring harness, the gt has all but two wires for a knock sensor and one other sensor I cant remember.... A cobra computer, or a mach 1 computer. New headers or exhaust manifolds, new throttle body, new cold air intake, probably a new Mass air sensor, Idle air control valve, pvc valve, all the misc. tubes and pipes.... The block is the same design as the cobra, but the only thing is the 96-02 cobras and 03-04 mach 1's are aluminum blocks. The 03-04 cobra block is iron. But your gt block is fine... Its more of a headache. I have seen used 99 cobra motors for $3000 on ebay.

From previous reading, and as AIX said... it'll be easier (although more expensive) to just swap the entire engine.

I priced it out, it would be cheaper to buy a used motor off of ebay for like $3000. Unless you got a rediculious deal, but the chances of that are like 5%. Check out karkraft.com they have used long blocks, used short blocks, used engines, new engines... here are some prices on there to give you an idea of a swap....

Valve covers... $255
timing cover.... $100
tensioner......... $30
cylinder Heads.. $630
Head gaskets and bolts... $140
Cams aftermarket........ $1200
intake manifold $375
or supercharger with manifold and intercooler.... $1900

the hardest part to find would probably be the wiring harness
