Default which would be the better bang for buck?

I have 96 GT, I was gonna do a P&P and cams,
or would an s/c be cheaper
keep in mind, that with the p&p alone itd be a lil faster than the 99-04GT, then the cams would add something and im sure I could do more with the rest of the money, the S/cs which cost around 3,000 at the least usually claim itd get me to about 290hp but s/cs can take off engine life in some instances which is the better bang for buck ?

Better bang for your buck in what, performance or life?

A set of new heads & cams would 'freshen' your motor and the odds of a head gasket failure/head failure would be much lower now, plus your car will have more HP, it will respond to modifications better also.

With the S/C, you'll get more hp, but you'll still have your old crappy heads with a low HP supercharged car.

Ideally, just get the head swap now and save your money to do a supercharger further down the road.

You Should just spend like a grand and spray it. Go with like a 125shot.

Get the P&P and cams. I havent been able to find a 94-98 that could beat my 01, but with a P&P and cams on your car or any other pre 99, would give me a run for the money. Go that route so you can free up other horsepower you have waiting to be unleashed.

Freshen up your motor before you s/c or spray. Might not last too long otherwise.

lol this is the exact same thread. you pretty much said it yourself. p&p w/ cams will be faster than a stock 99-04 and as dan said it will "freshen" it up. the supercharger will most likely net you more whp but you wont have nearly as much potential with it and other mods without the p&p w/cams. do the p&p and cams and then save the money down the road for the supercharger.
