I have cracked my intake twice on my 99 gt and got reimbursed allready...will this intake keep me from cracking it again. Or what is everyones suggestions http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv8dynotune.htm

all you have to buy is a new pi intake. They only make them with the aluminum crossover now, so you wouldn't have to worry about it cracking again. The dealership could get it for you or just order one off the internet.

I think its a damn good idea man. That thing looks good, plus its not freaking plastic. If you are having so much trouble now, its not gonna be any easier when ur makin mad power with that s/c. Buy it.

all i would do is put a 180 or 160 degree thermastat in. if you look at the ford performance site thats what they recommend to prevent it. i put a 180degree on in. it just reduces the pressure and heat of the intake. ive seen a guy running about 600hp with that intake. so take the money from ford and get more performance parts. cams or gears, etc.

I allready replaced mine and it cracked again soo im not going with the ****ty plastic one..im going with something that wont bust at all...and the one I posted isnt available until the end of the month so its mine when the time comes..just cant give the nitrous up ...lol

oh ok, so yours isnt cracking where the thermostat housing is? Is running nitrous making it crack somewhere else?

I wonde if mine cracked due to nitrous. Dropping the intake temperature by an instant 75 degrees probably doesn't help matters.

Dropping it down made it brittle, heating it back up quickly (as a 75 degree difference with other parts around it will do) and cracking it with that is probably what happened.
