I am building up a 4.6 GT motor. Ihave found a set of heads that i could purchase with in the nest few days. There is one problem. I was wondering if the 5.4 pi heads of a truck could fit the 4.6 block that i have. If not i do have interest in another set of 4.6 pi heads that could be mine. I just want to know if the application of 5.4 heads on a 4.6 block is possible. Thanks</P>

Yeah i will probably put a hot cam and new roller rockers and get a port and polish job. Does any one know how much power a 5.4 heads with a port and polish will give my 97 gt<edited><editID>97 GT</editID><editDate>38006.9764930556</editDate></edited>

where r u goin to purchase new roller rockers from for the ohc motor? im under the impression there are no aftermarket ones. also what mods do u have and what cam size are you going to choose? also i think the 5.4 and 4.6 heads are identical so the only gain ur gettin is from the port and polish, could be wrong though

THERE IS ONLY ONE COMPANY RIGHT KNOW THAT MAKES NEW ROCKER ARMS FOR A MOD MOTOR. BUT THEY ARE 1600 BUCKS. BUT ON A STOCK MOTOR THEY PRODUCED 60 HP. SO IF YOU GOT IT GET IT. TO MAKE ANY HORSE POWER YOU GOTTA GET A SET OF PI HEADS. 96 TO 98 HEADS. ARE JUNK EVEN IF YOU PORT THEM. BUT WHEN YOU GET THE PI HEADS YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE UPPER INTAKE ALSO.</P>

That's what happens when the aftermarket is almost nonexistent for a particular application. The less options there are, the more expensive it is. That's why you can get an aftermarket Chevy or Ford block for about $1,000, but the only aftermarket Pontiac block is $3,000, because it's the only one. It's all about competition, and it's all about money.</P>

yeah i just went to the web site and was blown away. The company is second street speed. The two valve is like 1600 and for a 4 valve it is dounle almost 3600 bucks. No way. All i will probably do is get them ported and polished and pick out a nice cam for the heads.
