^In that case you'd better hold out for the '07.

The source was a guy who is the Launch Manager at AAI, the plant that is doing the production runs. He had some pic's of a Blue one with his family posted on the internet and I think he got into trouble for it. I will give you the link if you are interested but they removed all of the pictures and edited the name out. But you can still read peoples reviews, pretty lame without pic's though.

Its true Code, just think, wait a couple months for Kenne Bell to make an aftermarket S/C for the 07 Cobra. We all know how much it H/P the 03 can get with one. Id say with just that u could push 650 easy. And then with all the other mods; by the time its all said and done u could get probably 700 or higher. But hey, its ur money so u can spend it on whatever u want, I just think u could save at least 10K by gettin the Cobra.

He'll probably still get one. But good point.... you could buy an 07 gt500 for way less than a C6 ZO6. A new ZO6 goes for what, 80k? I heard the new Gt500 should be around 45k. Think of spending the difference in parts...thats 35 thousand in parts you could buy, and destroy most cars with it!!
most? if i had $35,000 to spend on performance mods i better beat everyone.

Me and the Mrs were talking about this very thing the other night. I love the look of the GT500 and I have also read about the potential of the motor and while I respect it, I still think I will go with the Z06. I have always wanted a Vette, there is just something about them. And after really reading and looking at the features of the C6 Z06, they are hard to beat. Now, I am not saying I won't go drive the GT500, and who knows, it might just tickle my fancy....but 427cid of N/A power is just frickin' sweet.

^On that note I say go get the GT500, and when you're old enough to be scared to push the gas pedal down, go buy the vette, just like everyone else does.
Corvette=Cadillac
GT500=Sportscar

Hey, hey....No picking on the Cadillac, that's the Mrs' new car. CTS-V with LS2 motor, watch out cause the Caddy is fast and smooth. I am not giving up on Ford, I still have my Mustang for a toy. Besides, if I were to just go crazy and spend whatever on a new car...I would get a Ford GT, but it is out of my price range.

I don't think any of us really know how much hp this car is goin to be rated at or how much it's goin to have at the wheel, but one thing I do know is that they're basically using the same engine that was put in the 2000 Cobra R, which was rated at 385hp, I can't see this car making anything under 500hp at the flywheel. Even with the roots charger... If you take that engine put the newer engines + supercharger you're goin to make more then 115hp at the flywheel I would all but assume. To you guys that are planning on getting one.. haha good luck, and good luck paying that 45k, hahaha.
